Away from the constant- President Museveni, the 2021 elections seem to suggest we might see several young faces step into the ring to vie for political offices! Just last week, we told you Bukedde TV’s Flavia Namulindwa is warming up for the Gomba Woman MP seat. This week, we received news that another TV personality- NTV’s Julius Ssenkandwa, is finally set to take a bold step and stand against Minister Dennis Galabuzi for the Busiro North seat come 2021. Galabuzi is the Minister for Luwero Triangle.

According to well-placed sources, Ssenkandwa recently took to organising community activities that aspiring politicians usually use in sending political signals. “He recently started sports activities in the area and has been going around consulting households about their challenges,” the source told us.

Ssenkandwa had shown interest in standing for the same seat during past elections, but pulled out for reasons best known to him. However, sources tell us Ssenkandwa recently met with top brass in leading opposition party- FDC and they gave him their blessing to stand on the party ticket for the Busiro North constituency seat in 2021.
