FUFA raises Shs268m from Egypt match adverts

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) means business! For those who were keen enough, last week, Egyptian companies had a prominent presence at Namboole stadium as Uganda took on the Pharaohs. Well, the billboards were not a decoration!! FUFA raised UGX268,372,000 (US$75,000) for advertising Egyptian companies at the Mandela National Stadium, Namboole last week!!

“Rogers Byamukama, head of Fufa’s marketing team confirmed to URN that they were paid an equivalent of US$75,000, by Presentation, a company based in Egypt to advertise at the Stadium”, URN reported.

“We have rights to sale space at the Stadiums and we did business with the Egyptian company,” Byamukama told URN.

Uganda takes on Egypt tonight in Alexandria at 9pm as we look to maintain our lead at the top.
