Proline’s Mujib Kasule joins race for Fufa presidency

With Fufa presidential elections barely two months away, Proline FC owner Mujib Kasule is the latest person to throw his hat in the ring. Information available to Matooke Republic indicates the Proline coach is set to pick nomination papers today to challenge Moses Magogo for the presidency in the elections which will be held in August.

Kasule is a surprise late entrant to the race, as the man who most people expected to challenge Magogo was his immediate predecessor as Fufa president, Lawrence Mulindwa. Also in the race is SC Villa boss Ben Misagga. The entry of Kasule, who is popularly referred to only as ‘Mujib’ in football circles is likely to give the elections a spark as he has a history with Magogo; having opposed Magogo in the past before briefly working with him up to 2015. With Kasule’s latest move, the two find themselves on opposing sides yet again.
