Fanfare at Bobi Wine’s Nangabo rally as he lines up David Lutalo, King Saha and Nutty Neithan

Frenzied boda boda riders take Bobi Wine to the campaign venue.

Bakuwe kyonywa…,” the crowd in Nangabo sang along to blue-tinted hair singer Nutty Neithan’s hit song. This could be mistaken to a local concert popularly known as ekivvulu, but is was a serious matter – they were attending the rally of Robert Kyagulanyi, the man who wants to represent Kyadondo East constituency in Parliament.

More commonly known as Bobi Wine, the singer continues to draw mammoth crowds at his rallies in the constituency’s Parliamentary by-elections.

Bobi Wine addresses the mammoth crowds.

Yesterday, Bobi Wine who is standing on an Independent ticket yet again drew thousands at his rally in Nangabo that not only listened to his plans for the constituency if he is elected Member of Parliament, but also watched a free show featuring David Lutalo, King Saha and Nutty Neithan.

Several musicians are throwing their weight around the singer and if the crowds at his rallies are anything to go by, he is sweeping the election come June 29.

Supporters carry a clock, which is the symbol of Bobi Wine’s campaign.

Meanwhile, Bobi Wine’s supporters crossed paths with NRM candidate Sitenda Sebalu and a battle almost ensued, until Bobi Wine standing on top of his vehicle smiled and waved to Sebalu who also waved back, a sign that their supporters took that the battle should not be a physical one and can only be decided in the ballot box.
