During the reading of 2017-2018 National budget at Serena Hotel, Kampala President Museveni came along with different commodities; shirts, hats and shoes which are locally made in the country. After showcasing the commodities and encouraging all Ugandan to support locally matured items, he then gifted Hon. Ibrahim Abiriga with a pair of sandals as he thanked him for being a disciplined honorable.
“Honestly, a gift from a president makes one very happy. Am going to paint it (pair of scandals) yellow because I love wearing yellow things, ”The excited MP Abiriga stated
The Arua Municipality is known for his stanch love for NRM party colour and once confessed, “Everything on me has to at least have yellow if it is not fully yellow. The plate I use, the cups and my bed is yellow everything.”
