KCCA FC to exploit exceptional home record to revive continental hopes against Tunisia’s Club Africain today

Reigning league champions Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club will today look forward to revive  their continental campaign against Tunisian side Club Africain.

KCCA FC lost the opening group game against FUS Rabat 3-0 in Morocco 3-0 while opponents Club Africain beat Rivers United 3-1 in Tunisia.

The KCCA’s exceptional home record could prove influential today. In the 15 league games played at the Phillip Omondi stadium last season, Kasasiro boys lost only one game, winning 13 and drawing one.

KCCA FC’s home dominance doesn’t only stop at local football but it also the continental level. In the played three games, the Lugogo based club has won two and drawn once.

Team manager Mike Mutebi is confident that his side will put a good game.

“Although the tournament is on league basis but we are not going to depend on other results. It’s important we try our level best to pick three points here so that the dream is on of trying to get into the quarterfinals. So it is very important that we win,” Mike Mutebi stated.

With the return of goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan, Allan Okello and Captain Dennis Okot who missed the first game, the coach will now have plenty of quality choice.
