Wizkid calls Face TV boss to confirm Ugandan performance

Its official, much anticipated Nigerian star singer- Wizkid, finally answered many of his Ugandan fans’ prayers! Arguably the biggest music star on the continent at the moment and for some time now, Wizkid got his fans celebrating earlier this week when he twitted that he will be putting aside two days to perform in Uganda this year.

And to confirm the development, Wizkid called one of the top managers at Face TV, the company that was behind Wizkid’s botched December show and gave him his word.

Wizkid reaffirmed to the Face TV honcho that he is serious and cautioned him to prepare well.



“He called us today and he confirmed himself! He said he will get back to me with the exact dates,” the extremely delighted official that preferred anonymity told us.

Wizkid was supposed to perform in Kampala on December 3, 2016 at the Lugogo Cricket Oval, but he didn’t make it for the show.

Face TV and Startimes TV- the sponsors of the show, did not make a good case on why Wizkid had not made it, but they threatened to take legal action against the singer.

It is alleged that the organisers had sunk a whopping $140,000 (about Shs 462m) into the concert! Just like all other Ugandans, we look forward to this concert!
