As the Matooke Republic sponsored ‘Tugende Mukikadde’ concert date draws closer, legendary artistes Kabuye Ssemboga, Halima Namakula and Mariam Ndagire this week pitched camp at Afrigo Band’s home at Club Obligatto to start joint rehearsals.

Afrigo Band are the headline act at the debut edition of ‘Tugende Mukikadde’, which seeks to honour Ugandan entertainers that made us dance back in the day! We can also reliably confirm that Afrigo Band leader- Moses Matovu was handed the role of heading the show’s production.

The three solo 90s stars together with Afrigo band, indisputably Uganda’s most decorated and oldest band will set Kampala Serena Hotel aflame as they bring back the memories with their hits at the concert on Saturday May 6. Tickets to the Tugende Mukikadde concert are already on sale at Payway outlets, Serena Hotel and the Autospa bar in Munyonyo.

However, according to concert organisers Sprout Africa, there’s a chance to win free tickets to the event and all one needs to do, is record themselves singing or dancing to any of the performers’ songs. Entry to the show will be Shs100,000 while a table goes for Shs5m.
