Pastor David Ngabo’s wife charged with Shs240 million fraud

After a short break from the media, pastors are back in the news for the wrong reasons. Latest reaching our news desk is that Ms Sandra Katebarairwe wife to FDC’s famous Pastor David Ngabo has today appeared again before Buganda Road Chief on charges of defrauding a Chinese national.

Ms Katebarirwe, 40, was charged with obtaining under false pretence a sum of Shs200m from Mr Wu-WeiLing. She was also charged with forgery and uttering false documents. She denied all the charges.

On July 8, 2016, Katebarirwe and others allegedly defrauded Mr Wu-WeiLing of Mama Mia Investments of $68,530 (about Shs240m) under false pretence that they would rent him space at Imperial Botanical Shopping Mall.

Buganda Road Chief Magistrate Mr James Ereemye granted her a cash bail of Shs10m and her two sureties were both bonded at Shs50 million (not cash). Court adjourned the case to April 5.

This is not the first time Katebarairwe appears before the same court on similar charges of defrauding the same person. Last month she was also charged for allegedly obtaining Shs192m from Mr WeiLing after falsely pretending she would offer him rooms for rent.
