Kaweesi helped me settle in police — IGP Kale Kayihura eulogises fallen AIGP at burial

While addressing mourners at the burial of fallen AIGP,  Gen. Kale Edward Kayihura disclosed that he enjoyed a great relationship with the late.  In Kayihura’s condolence speech to the mourners gathered at the burial, he credited Kaweesi  as an officer who did everything for the good of his country.

“Kaweesi helped me settle in police. He was a concrete professional,”Kayihura stated.

“When I was appointed in 2005 to succeed Gen. Katumba Wamala, I did not know anything about police since I was from the army. But when we were in the police management meeting, Kaweesi seemed exceptional in the way he presented ideas. I decided to bring him closer and up to when he was gunned down, he had never disappointed me,” Kayihura revealed.

He further stated that Kaweesi was very effective despite his age.

“Kaweesi has been effective in his duties despite being a young man. He has always helped me calm down the fire in police,” he added.

IGP also revealed that police management have agreed to set up a museum in Kibuli in memory of AIGP Felix Kaweesi.
