Leilah Kayondo is doing what everyone does, well, what some people do when their ex is counting days to their wedding- they go as far away from the fanfare as possible.
For Leilah Kayondo, tycoon SK Mbuga’s ex, the destination was Boston.
As Mbuga and his wife-to-be Vivienne’s social media timelines were filled with wedding preparations and bridal shower things, for Leila, it was work work work. The Awo singer together with Iryn Namubiru and Touch Soul Band had a music show dubbed Clean Water Bash at the Hilton Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts.
Meanwhile, a few days ago the singer got a taste of Uganda’s sense of humour when she took to her Facebook page to give an inspiring message and instead received comments about Mbuga’s upcoming multi-billion wedding to Vivienne Birungi.
“If the bus you are traveling in enters a tunnel and it gets dark. You don’t tear your ticket and move out. You wait and pray it moves and you see the light again. That’s life,” read Kayondo’s message.
“Waama don’t mind….u already have light…..more blessings on the way,” Claire Natukunda wrote.
Mugambwa Owen Paul wrote, “Wekaza nawe the guy is making a multibillion wedding and yo all acting nice go fight for yo man.”
Promise Erick wrote, “Dts wat it meanz wen a relationship becomes tuff we don’t run away we chill & wait & try to our fullest 4 it to stand again no matter wat it takes.”
Daniel Propolis Jibril Ikaaba wrote, “Mbuga nostalgia.”
Good thing is that SK Mbuga is a Muslim man who is allowed to have up to four wives. Leila is also a Muslim. Maybe by waiting for the light she meant her chance might come.
