The election of Donald John Trump did not only shock opinion polls and experts prior to the election but also prophecy of Nigeria’s popular prophet TB Joshua. General Overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet Temitope Joshua, Joshua, who spoke at a special Sunday service at the church’s headquarters in Ikotun Egbe, Lagos, told the congregation that he received many emails from some Americans confirming that his prophecy on the election spurred them to intense prayers, which God eventually hearkened to.
Before the election of Donald Trump, Joshua prophesies was posted on Facebook that the winner would be a woman: “Ten days ago, I saw the new President of America with a narrow win. The new President will be facing several challenges over many issues, including: passing bills, attempts to possibly pass a vote of no confidence on the new President. The boat of the new President will be rocked. By the way, in order not to keep you in suspense, what I frankly saw is a woman”
After Donald Trump was declared winner, the post was hastily deleted.
While speaking explaining to the congregation the change of prophecy, he said the outcome of the election was an indication of power of prayers, adding that people conversant with the efficacy of his prophecies went into fervent prayers, begging God for the prophecy’s reversal. He also contradicted himself stating that his prophecy was about the popular vote not White House which Trump won.
The cleric compared the US presidential election’s outcome with that of biblical Jonah, who prophesied that God would destroy the city of Nineveh within 40 days, a prophecy, which was averted by sincere prayers of the inhabitants of the city.
He warned the congregation that 2017 will be a very tough year!
