President Museveni moments ago released a list of permanent secretaries. The head of state dropped a few long serving officers whom he replaced with people viewed to be extremely loyal to him.
Long serving Permanent Secretaries Kaliisa Kabagambe (energy ministry), Paul Steven Kagoda (ministry of internal affairs) and James Mugume (ministry foreign affairs) have been dropped.
However, Eng. Kabagambe -Kaliisa has been named senior presidential advisor on Oil, Gas and Minerals.
The president also qualified earlier rumors by appointing his personal physician and state house official Dr Diana Atwiine as the PS in the Ministry of Health.
Dr. Asuman Lukwago, Dr Atwiine’s predecessor, who had earlier tendered in his resignation has been appointed as PS for in the Education Service Commission docket.
