Opposition leader Dr. Kiiza Besigye is today planning to join Kampala street vendors in protest of being stopped from selling along the city streets on orders of Kampala City Affairs minister Beti Kamya.
The vendors according to Kamya were kicked off the streets to reduce congestion in the city.

However, Police spokesperson Felix Kaweesi cautioned the public not to be misled by people whose agenda is to cause the breach of peace in the city.
“Police shall take all the necessary measures to prevent such illegal acts and ensure no person disrupts the normal business life and peace in the city,” said Kaweesi.
