R.I.P: Promoter Balaam’s son loses battle to cancer

Events Promoter Balaam Barugaraha has lost his son Jonathan Tumusiime Amooti to cancer.





“Germ cell tumor has deprived us of our wonderful ninja before he reaches the best hospital in the world. We had secured for him to travel to America yesterday. He couldn’t reach here! After a long battle in India,” Balaam released a statement on Sunday morning.

“I believe it’s the Lord who gives and takes, so let’s take heart and his soul rest in peace,” Balaam said.

There will be a requiem mass at St. Charles Lwanga Church in Ntinda at 11am on Tuesday morning before he is laid to rest at Nakasajja on Gayaza Road at 2pm.

There is a vigil at Balaam’s House on Plot 5, Ntinda Avenue this morning evening.

“Let’s celebrate his life together. I’m strong as always,” Balaam said.

“I will miss you forever you are irreplaceable master. I will continue sharing your love with children in same cancer condition,” the promoter said.

Jonathan has battled cancer through his short life, that saw him visit several hospitals including Mulago’s cancer insitutute, Redcross Hospital in South Africa, Aster Medcity in India and Balaam had just made it possile for him to be transferred to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Massachusetts USA, when he breathed his last.

May his soul Rest In Peace.
