The Kabaka was speaking at the opening of the 24th Buganda Lukiiko this Monday. In his concise speech, Kabaka Mutebi chose to dwell on children.

Child sacrifice is still rampant in Uganda and it is practiced more in the Buganda region with quack traditional healers asking people who consult them, mostly for riches to carry out these rituals.

Mutebi also talked about children’s rights, advising parents and minders to respect the rights of the little ones who are the future of this nation.

During the opening of the Lukiiko, new ministers were sworn in and representatives of the Kabaka in the diaspora were recognised.
