The Government prosecutor has today withdrawn all the charges against Emmy Katabazi; an operative of the Internal Security Organization who was an aide to former prime minister and presidential candidate Amama Mbabazi.
The hearing of the case was before the General Court Martial based in Makindye barracks, Kampala. Katabazi was arrested last year for giving himself unofficial leave of absence and conducting himself in manner prejudicial to good order in the army.
The case has been the first handled by Lt. Gen Andrew Gutti as Chairman of the Court Martial, following the death of Maj. Gen Levi Karuhanga who passed on in April this year.
