The new 4×4 Mercedes Sprinter camper van just made its way into the US market, but we might be seeing the same car on our roads very soon- thanks to tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia.

image
The van is estimated at about $110,000 (about Shs363m), before taxes and freight costs, and a tax expert at URA told us that the car would pay taxes of not less than Shs400m; adding that freight costs would depend on the mode of transportation. Sudhir is already ell-known for having a taste for classy things, and with the promise to his only son, who is also directly responsible for his father’s business empire, we can safely state that Rajiv will be ditching his VX for the new monster ride.

Sudhir yesterday posted a YouTube link with the 2016 Mercedes sprinter van and made it very clear to his son; “Rajiv, this is your next car!”

The car’s specs

The car is described as the most fuel-efficient Sports Mobile ever and is the latest introduction to the US market. The luxury automobile has a 188-hp 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel engine that is estimated at 20 miles per gallon (12 liters/100km). Mercedes describes this car as ‘the lightest, most fuel efficient 4×4 conversion ever.’

The van can sleep up to four adults with the available Penthouse Top and folding in-cabin bed. It’s also fired with equipment ranging from a kitchen with sink, propane stove and refrigerator, in-cabin heating and air conditioning, hot water heater, cassette toilet, shower, TV, entertainment equipment and solar panels.
