The food journalists enjoy at Uganda Police weekly press conference

Yes, the images you see up there are of the food journalists get to munch at the weekly Uganda Police press conference organized by the force’s communications head, Commissioner Fred Enanga.

A senior security journalist who had taken long without attending the weekly presser today posted the images on his Facebook wall, exclaiming in a rather bemused tone:

”I had taken long without covering the Monday police press briefing. Today I found Commissioner Fred Enanga had prepared this for the journalists. I am told he does it every Monday.”

As you might expect, most of the comments on the journalists’ wall made fun of the meal, many ridiculing the Police force for feeding journalists on niceties while policemen are fed on posho and beans, while others wondered whether journalists weren’t being compromised with good food.
