The 12th edition of the quartely Blankets and Wine Festival took place at the Uganda Museum Grounds on Easter Sunday. As usual, Kampala’s party people dressed for the occasion and sipped some wine and lots of Tusker Malt (the event’s sponsors) as they watched performances by Sitenda, Sandra Suubi, reggae legend Maddox and South African group Uhuru.

Maddox on stage. He put up an hour-long performances of his classics like Namagembe, Nakatude, Munakyalo and Irene.

bw12 — Lovey dovey … banange get a room.

bw11 — He must have borrowed one of her wigs … the ones she turns to on bad hair days.

One of the Uhuru band members felt the Kampala heat, he had to go bare chested to the delight of the ladies.

bw10 — Doing shisha. Meanwhile almost everyone had some Afro inspired fashion. Have you seen her shoes?

bw9 — Family things. Irene Ntale and the sister.

bw8 — Nickita Bachu and Gareth Onyango. One of the closest young couples. Always together like a pod and pea.

bw7 — Sanyu FM’s Crystal abd a friend … we like her Afro inspired bag.

bw6 — One of the Uhuru guys on stage.

bw5 — Chilling with the investor.

bw4 — Pretty little things: Asma Uwase and Sheila Gashumba

bw3 — If you didn’t have a little African something like her shorts, you didn’t get the memo. Meanwhile we like how she marched the blue hair with the blue Adidas kicks.

bw2 — Judith Heard was kind enough to pose for us while Chuch Brian was busy doing the Shoki dance.
