As soon as Zari Tlale gave birth to daughter Latifah in August last year, the paternity of the child was contested. Three men were cited as possible fathers of the baby, first on the list Zari’s ex-husband Ivan Ssemwanga, and then Diamond Platnumz and a Tanzania business tycoon. The pressure from critics and fans mounted so high, and especially calls for a DNA test to prove the baby’s real father mounted so high, such that a few weeks ago the singer, Zari and the baby travelled to South Africa to have a DNA paternity test on the child.
Now, earlier this week the results of the DNA paternity test came out, and Diamond and his Zari immediately went public declaring that Queen Latifah has indeed been found to be Diamondz’s daughter.
“People talked a lot, created a lot of lies. I was not worried nonetheless. All through, I knew the baby is mine; though just to make myself happier and more peaceful, I decided to conduct a DNA test on Tifah. Tifah is my daughter, completely! I am extremely overjoyed by the results (DNA). That’s why I am now freer, happier and having a good time. When you happen to visit my office, you will notice I have hung framed photos of Tifah everywhere. I am not worried at all. I can now courageously face my critics,” Diamond said in an interview with Tanzanian TV Citizen.
Sources close to the couple have also revealed to us that Diamond and Zari have been so raptured by the DNA results, over the last few days they have been like a couple that has just started their relationship.
