She is a living legend. Anne Kansiime is a globally celebrated comedy figure. She has several international awards to her name and she has traversed the globe in the past few years filling up auditoriums in different parts of the world. Yet, back home, Kansiime has been loyal to the group that nurtured her- Fun Factory.
Even when the world has appreciated her as a big stand-up comedienne; Kansiime doesn’t have a weekly or monthly comedy show of her own. You can call it a waste of talent, but we think Kansiime has simply been preserving her talents for the big moment.
And Kansiime’s biggest moment is finally here; she is set to hold the first ever One-Woman comedy show in East and Central Africa.
Come Thursday March 24th, Kansiime will be cracking her fans’ ribs in a three-hour show dubbed “I am Kansiime!”
The show will take place at the Imperial Royale Hotel with Kansiime as the only performer for the night. Entrance to the show is Shs100,000 per head, but there are tables of Shs3m and Shs5m respectively; gates will be open at 6pm.
