Tanzania star Alikiba who is set to headline Sunday’s Blankets and Wine event arrived in the country on Thursday night.



Alikiba will headline the last Blankets and Wine event of the year alongside The Mith, Jemimah Sanyu, Giovanni Kiyingi and DJ Naselow .at Lugogo Cricket Oval

The Tusker Malt Lager sponsored quarterly picnic-style event is organised by House of Deejays and is set to go down as one of the best events of the year.

“I am here to have a good time with my fans. Everyone who loves afro fusion music should come join me and have a good time. It is going to be a great show,” he Alikiba.

Fans will be looking out for some of his famous songs such as; Mwana, Aje, Chekecha Tua, Cinderella, Nakshi Nakshi, Usiniseme, Dushelele, Single Boy and Mapenzi YanaRun Dunia that have skyrocketed Alikiba to top charts as well as win awards like the  MTV Europe Music Awards as Africa’s Best International Act.

The Tanzanian born sensation whose full names are Ali Saleh Kiba is not only a singer but also a song writer, dancer and actor.

Uganda Breweries Limited Head of Promotions, Roy Tumwizere said; “We have been anticipating his arrival and he is finally here. We look forward having a good time on Sunday as we drink our Tusker Malt lagers. So grab your picnic bags and mats and come join us at one of the best events of the year. Do not miss out.”

Entrance fee is Shs100,000 and gates open at midday.

Revellers can buy early bird tickets by dialing *252# on MTN mobile money or at Definition stores at acacia mall, Garden city,  Uganda Wines & Spirits, Kanyana’s Bakery in Kiwatule, PayWay outlets & House of DJs Office in Bugolobi.
