Pastor Kiwedde arrested for breaking marriages and virginity in Zimbabwe

Two Ugandan pastors have been netted by Zimbabwean authorities after several complaints about how the two “men of God” had made themselves farms of “people’s wives” all in the name of performing their miracles.

Controversial Pastor Kiwedde

Controversial Pastor Kiwedde of the now defunct Holy Fire Ministries on Entebbe Road in Kampala was arrested with a junior pastor in Harare. According to a Zimbabwean news agency, the pastors were also charging colossal amounts of money in exchange for miracles.

The self-declared born again pastor had earlier been arrested in Uganda. In 2013, he was arrested in Rakai where he was nabbed impersonating a popular Kenyan Catholic priest who was famous for performing healing prayers and miracles.

In a different identity, pastor Kiwedde made a killing!   He extorted colossal sums of money from hundreds of unsuspecting believers before the long arm of the law grabbed his neck and sent him to jail. However, after barely serving two years of his sentence, either by the power of the Holy fire he preaches about or tactics best known to him, the pastor escaped from prison in a move that could make the famous Prison Break star Micheal Scofield an amateur.

According to reports from Zimbabwe he entered into the country using false documents.  The authorities’ recovered fake passports in their possession. Mr Maxwell Ogwal the greater Masaka Regional police commander reveals that police on Wednesday evening received Kiwedde from the Interpol officers at Entebbe and was accordingly transferred to Kalisiizo in Rakai District.

He revealed that the pastor will face charges of prison break, impersonation, being in possession of a fake passport, on top of having his earlier prison sentence reviewed.
Police say in 2010, Muwanguzi changed his name to Paul Mwamba and went in hiding in Kenya where he opened a church in Eldoret which he operated since 2013.
