Pastor Augustine Yiga could be going around as a “man of God” but Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) thinks some of the programmes on his ABS TV are not only ungodly, but also not fit for broadcasting.

As a result, UCC has written to the station, stopping them from broadcasting three of its programmes which are said to be in breach of the minimum broadcasting standards.

The programs include; Kalondoozi, Nabawalanyi and Oluwombo Lw’abafumbo.

Kalondoozi is a programme following the format of Reality TV’s Cheaters. The show that is broadcasted live on ABS TV every Sunday helps lovers spy on and catch their cheating partners.

ABS TV’s Kalondoozi programme was once banned in November 2015 after numerous complaints from the public that the show had adult sexually laced content which according to the commission is not suitable for broadcast.

However, the suspension and ban of the programme was terminated in February earlier this year.

ABS TV was directed to stop airing the programmes which invade people’s privacy  with immediate effect.

UCC says two of ABS TV’s other programmes  ‘Nice Night’ and ‘Kyolifa Tewalabidde’ are under scrutiny.
