KCCA FC extend table lead to seven points after defeating SC Villa

Defending Champions and table leaders KCCA FC have this evening defeated rivals Sc Villa (Jogoo) 3-1 in the Azam Uganda Premier League at Philip Omondi Stadium.


KCCA FC’s first goal came through Paul Mucureezi  in the first half, though Sc Villa also had a very good first half having created good scoring chances.

Both teams returned for the second half rejuvenated, playing a high tempo game, and Villa was rewarded a penalty which was converted by Tabu Abdul Malik.

KCCA FC responded quickly as netted a second goal through Derrick Nsibambi. Last player’s of the year Joseph Ochaya secured the game for KCCA as he headed in the third goal for the hosts.

KCCA FC have now gone to 28 points in 12 matches while Sc Villa remain on 21 points.

The game has been watched by massive crowds from both sides, an indicator of the revival of local soccer.
