Wizkid wins big at MTV MAMA Awards – Full list of winners

Star Boy Wizkid ruled this year’s MTV Africa Music Awards.

Nigerian singer Wizkid who is set to perform in Kampala on December 3, completed a hat trick, winning Artiste of Year, Best Male Artiste and Best Collabo for Soweto Baby (with South Africa’s DJ Mariphosa and DJ Bucks) at the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) that were held on Saturday night in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Nigeria’s Yemi Alade with her Best Female trophy.

Yemi Alade who co-hosted the show with South African TV personality Bonang Matheba and also performed, went away with the Best Female Artiste gong.

Best Pop & Alternative: Shekinah & Kyle Deutsch (South Africa)

Best Francophone: Serge Beynaud (Ivory Coast)

Best Lusophone: C4 Pedro (Angola)

Personality of the Year in association with DSTV:  Caster Semenya (South Africa)

Legend Award: Hugh Masekela

Best Collaboration in partnership with ABSOLUT: DJ Maphorisa feat. Wizkid & DJ Buckz – “Soweto Baby” (South Africa/Nigeria)
