30 called up for Cranes’ World Cup qualifier

Uganda Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredejovic has called 30 players to camp ahead of the 2018 Russia World Cup qualifier game against the Black Stars of Ghana.cranes-net

Some notable names that were part of the team broke the 38-year jinx to qualify for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations finals like Hassan Wasswa Mawanda, who has no club at the moment and KCCA striker Geofrey Sserunkuma were omitted. Locally based players will start training on October 1, while professionals will fly directly to the camp in Lome Togo on Monday October 3, ahead of a friendly with Togo the next day. The Cranes will lock horns with Ghana’s Black Stars in Tamale on Friday, October 7.
