After a taking a break for a year, Africa Laughs, Uganda’s biggest comedy show returns this month with what the organisers say will be a historic season 3! And unlike previous seasons, Africa Laughs 3 has already registered major changes. For starters, the comedy show is set to change venues from Imperial Royale Hotel to the plush Kampala Serena Hotel.
A week after the show was officially announced, we have learnt that the event will make history as the first to have two alcoholic beverage sponsors. Africa Laughs 3 officials confirmed that the world’s leading vodka brand Ciroc recently joined the list of sponsors for the event.
“Ciroc is now part of the official sponsors for Africa Laughs 3; they will give a world class feel to the event with their amazing cocktail to be held before the show. Guests will be treated to free tasty cocktails on arrival. Ciroc intends to give their signature décor to the cocktail area whole with amazing entertainment,” said Sams Kaggwa, one of the Africa Laughs managers.
Sams was hesitant to disclose the full sponsorship package but he told us their sponsors- Ciroc, Club Twist, Mirinda, Rwanda Air, Nakumatt had together pooled a mega sponsorship package totaling to Shs200m.
Africa Laughs 3 is slated for August 26 and entrance will be 100k per head. All leading comedians from African continent will be in attendance.
