The young man who impersonated popular music promoter Jeff Kiwa (and got one Herbert Were of Busia killing his younger brother for a human head ) has finally been identified and arrested. Eighteen-year-old Katende Moses, a resident of Kayunga district, was picked by Police from his home earlier today, and Police spokesman Fred Enanga says the young man will soon be arraigned in court to be officially charged.
Enanga said Katende has been proved by Police to be the person who convinced 21-year old Herbert Were of Busia that he can help him join the so-called “Illuminati” group where he will become famous and wealthy –only if he could deliver a human head for the rituals.
After he was convinced, Were killed his 6-year-old younger brother, packed his head in a bag and set off for Kampala with the aim of delivering it to Déjà vu Bar in Kasanga, where Katende (impersonating Jeff Kiwa) had told him to deliver it.
Enanga said Police had discovered on Katende’s phone SMS messages which directed Were to bring the head of his younger brother to Dejavu bar, which is owned by Jeff Kiwa. Enanga added that Police is still holding further investigations about the case.
Jeff Kiwa on his part was released earlier today after Police investigations couldn’t link him to Were.
