Singer Khalifa Aganaga held his Manyi Ga Kazindalo concert at Theatre La Bonita on Thursday night. It was a forgettable concert because the turn up was not good. Probably it is because he held it on Thursday which is not a traditionally concert day. But at least there was something unforgettable – a twerking “hajjati”.

At the climax of his performance, Khalifa (real name Saddat Mukiibi) called fans to join him on stage and a “hajjati” in a tight turquoise hijab and a red veil stood out as she pulled some twerking moves, shaking her behind to the delight of the audience that was sent into a frenzy.

She twerked till her hijab that covered her up to the ankles became a knee-high dress.

Islam frowns upon tight hijabs like the one she was wearing, let alone her conduct. Revellers were overheard saying that was not the way for a Muslim girl to conduct herself especially since the fasting season is around the corner,  but who are we to judge?
