The Appointments Board of Makerere University has suspended controversial Dr. Stella Nyanzi from her duties at the Professor Mamdani-led Institute of Social research.

In a letter released this afternoon, the board indicated that Dr. Nyanzi is immediately suspended from university service for the unfortunate incident of her stripping.

The duration of the suspension is indefinite for now, as the Board has also constituted a team to investigate the issues at MISR starting Monday and report back to it within 25 days –when it seems likely to make a final decision on the fate of Dr. Nyanzi.
