Participants from all parts of the country stormed the Lubiri based Kingdom for the third Kabaka Birthday Run early this morning to commemorate the Kabaka’s birthday. On April 13, Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II will be celebrating his 61th birthday. Runners who registered for different races including the 5KM, 10KM and the 21km where flagged of by the Kabaka at 7am. Prince David Wassajja was the chief runner and was joined by several people including, Kingdom ministers, Kampala City Lord mayor Eris Lukwago, Kick Boxer Ronald Mugula, Bobi Wine, Catherin Kusasila among others.

The Buganda sports minister, Henry Ssekabambe said, “The Kabaka Run is one way to network, keep fit and enjoy life with the Kabaka as we raise money towards the fight against Fistula disease among women.”

“Over 70m was collected from last’s event and awarded to Kitovu Hospital to help the women suffering from fistula.” He added.
