Pastor Steven Kaweesa (RIP) at a crusade.

The father of young and exceptionally talented musician Richy Kaweesa, Pastor Steven Kaweesa, has this morning died in a freak motor accident along Entebbe road.

Pastor Steven Kaweesa and two American missionaries with whom he worked at the Sseguku-based Uganda Christian Outreach Ministries (UCOM)/World Outrreach Missionaries Foundation (WOMF) all died on the spot after the Prado TX in which they were travelling along Entebbe Road went off the road and got smashed into an armophous piece of scrap metal. The Americans were Pastors Ed Pohlreich and Scott Volz, all members of UCOM/WOMF which the now late Pastor Kaweesa founded together with surviving Pastor Steven Ddamulira Mayanja in 1986.

Pastor Kaweesa’s death comes three years after he had started a branch of their UCOM/WMOF church foundation in Arua, and he has been regularly moving to Arua and conducting ministry which crossed far into South Sudan.
