Singer Jose Chameleone has come out to call himself “a dedicated tax payer”, at a time it has been revealed that Uganda Revenue Authority demands more than Shs54 from fellow singer Bobi Wine, dating back to 2008.

Chameleone at one time was averse to paying tax, saying that he couldn’t pay tax on his voice which is a God given talent, but all that was to change in 2014, when his Escalade car was impounded by URA on the day of his concert.

He came out on social media, in a post to defend his decision to buy Nike Air Mag shoes that apparently cost Shs42.5m a pair, saying that he has good financial discipline and several investments including a site under construction with a storeyed house.

“Don’t stay home waiting for Heavens to find you in your sitting room discussing other people achievements because Miracles came like that in Jesus’s time!!!!

We are a generation where nothing like stones turns to bread. Young people should wise up and work so hard so their sweat bears fruits now!!!

Forget the ‪#‎NIKEAIRMAGS. Thanks to the Almighty God.
