The Old Taxi in the central Kampala business district was gripped with horror when a man collapsed and died this afternoon. He is still unidentified as he had no documentation on him.
Witnesses said the deceased arrived at the park in company of another man on a boda boda. He looked frail and his friend supported him as they looked for taxis to Bugerere, so he was supposedly sick.
Witnesses add that a taxi conductor held the frail man’s hand to direct him to the Bugerere taxi stage when he suddenly collapsed and was unresponsive a few moments later.
His friend vanished, making it harder to identify the deceased who was wearing black trousers, black jacket, a blue shirt and was holding luggage in a yellow MTN branded polythene bag.
Police was alerted and they arrived moments later and carried the body to Mulago mortuary.
