The tongue is poison -Museveni warns Tamale Mirundi about his offensive language

Tamale Mirundi is a rabid verbal dog that has bitten almost everyone who is anyone in this current, apart from President Yoweri Museveni.

But that hasn’t stopped the president from cautioning his former Press Secretary and now media adviser on his acidic tongue.

“If I hit you with a blow, that’s a crime. It’s called assault. You can be arrested and charged for boxing somebody.  Also, if I offend people by words, it’s also an offence. Even the Bible says that the tongue is poison,” President Museveni said.

“I don’t follow what Tamale Mirundi says but what I heard is that he had been saying bad things about some people,” he added.

Museveni also spoke about Tamale’s recent ban from the airwaves by the Uganda Communications Commission.

“The other man of the commission  (UCC boss Fred Mutabazi) came in and said don’t do this or that.”

“Don’t offend people by saying bad things about people. That’s really the point. Not for only Mirundi but for all of you,” he said.
