Comedian Patrick “Salvado” Idringi is holding his one man show dubbed Man From Ombokolo thisTuesday evening at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
In a recent interview with Sqoop magazine to promote his show, Salvado talked about a host of issues and also used the opportunities to clear the air on rumours that he had split with Daphne, the mother of his baby girl.
Salvado and Daphne have been living apart for the past couple of weeks, with Daphne returning to her parents’ home with their daughter. The rumourmill quickly concluded that the two had called it quits with their relationship, but Salvado said the reasons of their living apart are different.
“I had to concentrate on pulling off this one man show, so I need to be alone and create material. Also, Daphne had to concentrate on reading for her final exams at MUBS, so we decided that we stay apart for a while,” the funny man said.
When asked whether he plans to take the relationship to the next level, Salvado said he plans to hold a wedding for his woman, sometime in future (but no time commitment was made).
“I want something nice which my woman deserves, so I have to work hard towards it,” he said.
During their time apart, he took to his Facebook to send her a sweet message.
“The day u appreciate your partner… Nothing can come in between the two of you… However much in love you are, if you don’t appreciate your partner, that love will fade…. I have a hot woman, everyone knows.. It’s not until I started appreciating the times she brought me juice when I came back home from a gig or meeting, the times she would save the money I’d give her to spend and use it when I was broke, the times she made any of my visitors whether she knew them or not comfortable, and most importantly the way she takes care of my.. Our daughter…. The small things our partners do for us that we take for granted are the most expensive. I appreciate all you do Daphine I pray to God to give us more years together.. Temptations and problems will come our way but we shall overcome them together God being our guide.”
Salvado will be compiling his debut DVD at the show. Entrance is Shs50,000 and Shs100,000 for VIP tickets.
