With many foreign nationals running out of South Africa, fearing xenophobic attacks where foreign African nationals are targeted by gangs, singer Desire Luzinda just jetted into Madiba’s land yesterday.
Several African nationals lost their lives in the xenophobic attacks less than two weeks ago. The South African gangs turned to violence blaming foreigners of taking their jobs. Some foreign nationals have fled the country and others are in refugee camps. However, the violence was only taking place in the townships and the uptown places remained relatively safe.
This didn’t stop Desire from flying to SA to honour a couple of shows. The singer is slated to perform this Thursday evening at a Durban nightclub and in Pretoria on Saturday 2nd May.
