Former NTV news anchor Rosemary Nankabirwa has been pronounced dead.
The 35-year-old Nankabirwa who was studying for a journalism Masters in the UK before she was taken ill by cancer was pronounced dead this afternoon. Her former employers NTV have confirmed the sad news.
She was pronounced dead after family agreed to pull her off life support at the Aga Khan hospital in Nairobi.
She had earlier on been pronounced dead by several online news outlets and the news spread on social media but NTV said she was on life support.
Matooke Republic understands from a close family member that the family kept her on life support awaiting a priest to administer the sacrament of anointing of sick as she was a staunch Catholic.
