However, Matooke Republic has talked to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango who refutes the New Vision story though he says investigations are still ongoing.
“The statement we have is that he was not beaten. There wasn’t even a fight,” Onyango told us.
“It was peaceful at the bar and AK47 and his friends were listening to music on their laptops,” Onyango further went on.
He collaborates first accounts that AK47 collapsed in the washrooms of Dejavu bar.
“Investigations are still going on at the premises and the body was taken to Mulago Hospital for a postmortem. We shall furnish you with more details as they come in,” he added.
AK47 was a younger brother to singers Jose Chameleone, Weasel and Pallaso.
