Tragedy has struck the Mayanja singing family as singer AK47, real names Emmanuel Mayanja has passed away at Nsambya Hospital.
News reaching Matooke Republic is that AK47 passed away after he fell in the washrooms of DejaVu pub in Kansanga and he was rushed to Nsambya Hospital where he was pronounced dead on Monday night.
Just for hours before he passed away, AK47 had made what turned out to be his last social media post and he had just professed that he was Born Again and he was asking fans to look out for his Gospel Single Ndi Mulokole (I am Born Again).
“Nze Ndi Mulokole Nafuuka Mulokole AK Mulokole Naawe Fuuka Mulokole In God we trust. Look Out For Ma latest Gospel Single #NdiMulokole #CyanDone,” read his last Facebook post.
The singer was the last born of the Mayanja singing family with brothers Jose Chameleone, Pallaso and Weasel all established musicians. Of recent, he has been closest to Pallaso as a member of Team No Sleep, having quit Jose Chameleone’s Leone Island Crew last year.
AK47 had recently become a salongo after fathering twins. Condolence messages keep pouring in from sections of the entertainment industry plus friends and fans.
“This is the worst news ever to happen.I have just been told by Leon island manager that our young brother A.K 47 has died.RIP,” Bebe Cool posted.
“My kid bro is gone..Rest in Peace blood. No more first born and last born brag for me… Mayanja Emmanuel wumula mirembe,” Humphrey, the first born of the Mayanja boys posted.
