Just like the title of his new Be Happy, singer Eddy Kenzo is surely a happy man. He recently got a second daughter when Rema Namakula dropped a bundle of joy that Kenzo named Aamaal on Boxing Day.
Now the singer has been hired to be part of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations official song, even when Uganda didn’t make it to the continental soccer showpiece (in fact we have not qualified since 1978 … shame).
Kenzo performed in Equatorial Guinea as the country entered 2015 and they were so delighted by his performance, that they decided to call him back to be part of the Afcon song.
Equatorial Guinea offered to host the tournament that runs from January 17th to February 7th after Morocco that was the initial host backed out fearing that the West African Ebola outbreak could spread to Morocco during the tournament.
Some of the other artistes on the project include Congolese star Fally Ipupa, Nigeria’s Wiz Kid, Tofaan and others.
