Ms Sophie Baguma lost her battle to cancel at the Cancer Institute in Mulago this Sunday evening.
“We’ve lost a Mother, a Friend and a Sister. RIP Madam Sophie. My Brothers Vamposs, Saba Saba Alex Kirya, Maurice Kirya, Lennie, Richard, Sister Maureen and Mr. Tee, may the Lord keep you strong,” Swangz Avenue producer Benon Mugambya who used to be Vampino’s mate in the Benon and Vampos duo broke the sad news on his Facebook wall.
“She keeps a good head on my shoulders, my mother! Madame Sophie” Kirya spoke of his mother in an earlier interview.
”Family comes first! Our Rock… our #MOM. Our Queen, Our Celebrity, Our Adyeeri and too many, Madam Sophie. Our everything! All we are, we owe to our awesome #mother. You’re the foundation of all things good! From all of us who love you like crazy… may #God grant you all that you deserve and pray for. Please keep this beautiful loving lady and mother to many in your constant #prayers… that she has a swift recovery,” Saba Saba posted on Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately, she passed away a few hours later.

Friends of the musicians took to their social media platforms to deliver condolence messages.
“When I met this lovely woman, she reminded me of my late mother. Kirya talked about his mom every chance he got and everything he said, I saw it for myself. It’s so sad that she has passed on so early but surely she has done her Job among us pretty well and she deserves and Peaceful rest,” Radio City presenter Brian Sabiiti aka McKenzie posted.
