Aisha Nabukeera crowned Miss Rising Woman at Miss Uganda

Nabukeera1Aisha Nabukeera managed a Top 10 finish in the Miss Uganda beauty pageant held at the Kampala Serena Hotel on Friday night.

The victim of child abuse rose above her scarred body to strut on the catwalk. Nabukeera was also named Miss Rising Woman for exhibiting courage to address issues affecting youths and women in the country.

Unfortunately she didn’t make it to the Top Five after flunking a question from one of the judges. Asked which personality she would like to host in case she were a TV host, Nabukeera answered “Oprah Winfrey” because she thought she had been asked about which kind of TV host she would love to be like.

Her guardian Frank Gashumba was supportive and congratulated Aisha on making it to the top 10.

“This is something historical in her life and its of significance to her background and to her future. Thank You Miss Uganda organisers, thank you judges, thank you to those that voted for Aisha and thank you to those that attended the show live,” he said.

23-year-old Zaharah Muhmammed Nakiyaga was crowned Miss Uganda.
