Baby Arnella Kamanzi who was shown being battered by Monster Maid Jolly Tumusiime in the now viral video has been admitted in Mulago Hospital.
Nella as she is fondly referred to by her family was admitted on the directives of Police boss Gen. Kale Kayihura.
The baby was admitted so that consultant doctors can examine whether she sustained any serious internal injuries as a cause of the battering.
Physically, the one and a half year old baby looks fine and she is jolly.
Mulago Hospital’s spokesperson Enock Kusasira says three senior consultant paediatrics including Dr Richard Idro, Dr Edson Mworozi and Dr Hellen Anyu are in the process of carrying out several examinations on the baby.
“The tests may take a week or more,” Kusasira said.
The maid was remanded to Luzira Prison until her case comes up for hearing on December 8.
