The ninth edition of Big Brother Africa kicked off in Johannesburg South Africa on Sunday, with 26 housemates vying for the ultimate prize $300,000 (about Shs780).
Viewers met the housemates, one-by-one, as they showcased their talents, live on stage, in one-minute slots. The studio audience scored each performance with a mark out of 100, and right at the end of the show, Big Brother called the excited housemates together and revealed the reason – the housemate who scored the highest would be named as Head of House and would be the only housemate not up for eviction next Sunday. Tanzania’s Laveda came out on top thanks to her saxophone playing skills.
That mean’s Uganda’s Esther Akankwasa and Stella “Ellah” Nantumbwe are on the chopping block. To save them, Type their name I.E Esther or Ellah and send to 8884. Each SMS costs Shs500.
Meanwhile in Kampala, Multichoice Uganda hosted the BBA Hotshots season’s premiere screening at Guvnor. We captured the images for you.
