Christopher Thomas may have broken up with Toro Princess Ruth Nsemere Komuntale, but he is still madly, deeply in love with Uganda.
The American will be a special guest at the second Abryanz Mens’ Fashion Awards on December 12. Thomas will use the platform to launch his new Flawless Duke Lip gloss.
“Flawless Duke lip gloss coming in December. New, hot, and better long lasting shine than you ever have felt before,” Thomas wrote on his Facebook page.
“All the sexy colours and flavours you crave for will be in stores before Christmas,” he said.
“The best part is that 5 to 10% of profit is going to a Uganda NGO that I will personally deliver and will post on my fb and website to show what the money is going toward each quarter of the year!!!!!!!!”
Thomas and the Toro princess exchanged vows at St. John’s Cathedral in Fort Portal on November 17, 2012, but three months later, there were rumours of a rift between the couple.
It was exacerbated with Thomas’ rants on social media that signified an end to this fairytale wedding.
On October 28, 2013, Nsemere released a statement announcing the break-up.
“I do not intend to go into the details of the causes of our separation, for that would require an elaborate paper. Suffice to say it is not worth the effort to spend one’s life in a futile marriage devoid of love, trust and faithfulness,” she said.
“In the recent past, the media has been awash with salacious tales of our tumultuous relationship. While Thomas has been keen to wash our dirty linen in public, I have remained dignifiedly silent on such supposed private matters,” Nsemere said.
With the break-up behind him, Thomas has decided to put his celebrity status in Uganda to good use by launching a series of beauty products for women.
Under his company Chris “Duke” Thomas’s Essentials, LLC, the American lad will not only produce lip gloss but also body wash, body sprays, deodorants and perfumes.
