Rema Namakula is fit to burst and she will pop a tot any minute from the time you read this.

However, the singer’s advanced pregnancy now in its final trimester could not stop her from honouring legend Elly Wamala and she came on stage and performed Lowoza Kunze, her rendition of the late singer’s song.

Rema was helped climb onto stage by emcee of the evening Charles Ssenkubuge Siasa and Afrigo Band’s Joanita Kawalya. But when she made it to stage and started singing, the difficultly in climbing the stairs was forgotten as she belted out her tune and she was arguably the best performer of the night. Her vocals could only be matched by gospel singer Judith Babirye.

Matooke Republic asked the singer when she is due, and her answer was, “any time.”
