Tongues are waggling because Miss Uganda 2012, Phiona Bizzu sticks to wearing her tiara two years after she handed over the crown.

In yesterday’s issue of The Observer, a writer told off the former beauty queen to simply relax and get rid of the tiara she keeps wearing since her tenure is long over.

This came after Bizzu attended the Luzira: Escape from Uganda movie premiere at the Kampala Serena Hotel last Friday wearing her crown in company of reigning Miss Uganda Leah Kalanguka.

Bizzu did the honours of crowning the new beauty queen as 2013 Miss Uganda Stella Ellah Nantumbwe is taking part in the Big Brother Africa reality series.  Bizzu has now taken on the role of Miss Uganda chaperon accompanying the newly crowned beauty queen everywhere she goes, but what shocks everyone is that Bizzu keeps wearing her tiara.

The Observer writer argued that they are not hating but advised that Bizzu should stop wearing tiara and let Leah, the current beauty queen shine.

Well, those who think she will outlive her habit are in for a big shock as Bizzu insists she will keep wearing the crown.

Bizzu had no kind words to both the paper and writer as she posted on her Facebook wall, “It is rather disappointing that a media house deemed respect worthy could publish such an irritable yet predictable article about me…
My dear, FYI I earned that crown and will always be Miss Uganda 2012. So if wearing a symbol of my victory displeases you, honey, deal with it… Because, my dear you clearly failed to understand the pageant world”.

We didn’t think Bizzu was one with an acid tongue, but true colours come out when you step on someone’s toe.
